ROAD CYCLING

7 Peaks Ride

Victoria’s 7 Peaks Alpine Ascent Challenge is an at-your-own pace cycling challenge which takes you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views right to the top of seven Victorian Alpine Resorts. Your challenge for six months over summer is to take on the toughest road climbs in Australia – which rival some of the famous Tour de France peaks. Climbs to conquer:

The 7 Peaks Digital Passport will be the proof of your cycling toughness. Once you have completed your peaks and logged them with the 7 Peaks App, or submitted your stamped paper passport you will go into the draw to win some amazing prizes - including a special major prize to the Tour de France! But how you enter this season will be slightly different. You will be awarded one entry for every 7 Peaks climb completed (including multiples of the same climb - sweet!) up to a maximum of 7 entries. If then you complete all 7 Peaks climbs, you'll receive a bonus 10 entries in the prize draw - a nice a bit of incentive! If you register for the 7 Peaks App, your entries will be automatically submitted. Click here for more information on eligibility and how to enter the draw.

You can tackle the 7 Peaks (Mt Baw Baw, Mt Buffalo, Mt Buller, Dinner Plain, Falls Creek, Hotham, Lake Mountain) anytime from October 2018 to April 2019.

So give your cycling a serious hit of altitude this summer. Throw down the challenge to yourself, your mates or your cycling club. Victoria’s 7 Peaks are there for the taking. Visit the 7 Peaks website for further information and to register for your passport: www.7peaks.com.au.

7 Peaks Hosted Rides

Join Ride High Country Ambassadors and your hosts 'The Soup Boys' on a group ride to conquer the Mt Buller Tourist Road, one of Victoria's 7 Peaks on 9 February 2019. The Soup Boys are a creative if rather unorthodox cycling collective based across Melbourne, Adelaide and Victoria's High Country. They bring together a group of riders who love the outdoors, aren't afraid to get a little wet and dirty and love a good post-ride celebration.

Save the date - 9 February 2019, for more information on the ride, click here.
